Do you handle the groundworks too?
Yes, all of it. Excavation, sub-base, drainage, kerbing. Whatever the site needs.
-
How long does a commercial tarmac car park take?
It does depend on the size and what is underneath. As a rough guide, a typical small-to-medium car park is a one to two week job from first dig to finished surface. We will give you a clear schedule of work before we start.
-
Can you work around our operating hours?
Usually, yes. A lot of our commercial work is done overnight, at weekends, or in phases to keep your business running smoothly. We will plan all work out with you to minimise disruption.
-
What qualifications does your team hold?
CPCS-certified machine operators, Street Works qualified, Waste Carrier registered. We are properly set up for site-based work and happy to evidence any of it.
-
What about weeds?
Because resin is laid as one continuous surface with no joins or gaps, there is nothing for weeds to push through. That’s one of the big maintenance wins over slabs or block paving.
-
Will it fade in the sun?
No. Resin is UV-resistant, so the colour you pick stays true year after year.
-
Is resin more expensive than tarmac?
Yes, a bit. It is the premium option, and the price reflects the materials needed, the range of finishes, and the permeability that comes as standard. For a lot of our customers, the look alone is worth the difference.
-
Do you remove the old driveway?
Yes. If an existing surface is in good condition it’s possible to lay the new drive on top – which is a quicker, cheaper option. If it’s being dug out, we make sure that it’s removed and disposed of safely (we’re a registered Waste Carrier), so you’re not left with a pile of rubble to…
-
How long does a resin driveway last?
A properly installed resin driveway is incredibly hard-wearing and built to last. It is also UV-resistant, so the colour stays true.
-
How soon can we use the surface?
We recommend waiting 48 hours before driving on it. Tarmac in particular wants two days to fully harden. Weather can play a part with resin, so we will tell you exactly when you are good to go before we leave the site.
-
What is best: resin or tarmac?
It depends what you’re looking for. Both are hard-wearing and will last a very long time when laid properly. Tarmac is the tried-and-tested classic: it has been around forever, you know what you are getting, and it’s great value. Resin is a premium option: a huge range of colours and finishes, fully permeable, and it…
-
Do you handle excavation and prep?
Yes, all of it. We don’t use use subcontractors, we own our own machinery, our own lorries (including a grab lorry to take the spoil away), and our team handles everything from the first dig to the final finish. It means we control the quality from start to finish, and you only ever deal with…
-
How long will the job take?
Most driveways are done and dusted within a couple of days. For bigger jobs, such as digging out the old surface and starting from scratch, it can take a little longer, but we normally get jobs completed within a week. Whatever the size, we’ll give you a clear timeline up front when we quote, so…
