PAtios & Pathways

Outdoor spaces worth stepping into

A patio is somewhere you want to spend time. Sat out with a coffee in the morning, eating with friends in the evening, kids running about at the weekend. The surface under your feet sets the whole tone of the space, and the right choice transforms how a garden feels to use.

Tarmac or Resin?

For patios, resin is almost always the right call. We can lay tarmac patios, but resin gives you a much better finish for an outdoor living space: a range of colours, smoother surface, more flexibility on the look – without the issues you get with traditional slabs.

For pathways, it depends. A path running directly off a tarmac driveway usually looks best in tarmac, carrying the surface through. A utility path down the side of the house or out to the bin store is the same: tarmac is tough, quick, and brilliant value where function matters more than feature.

For garden paths that wind between planting, or link a patio to a lawn, resin is usually the better-looking choice. The colour range and seamless finish lets the path complement the garden rather than fight with it.

Why a resin patio works so well

Lift the whole space

The right colour and aggregate complements your home, your planting, and your furniture. The kind of upgrade you notice every time you step outside.

Bespoke to you

Huge range of colours and aggregate blends, with the option to add borders, patterns, or contrasting edges.

Flat and seamless Finish

No wobbly slabs or gaps between pavers means no tipping chairs or wobbly tables.

Drains naturally

The permeable surface means no puddles, reducing slippery wet or icy patches. No separate drainage is needed.

Will not fade

UV-stable resins keep their colour year after year, even on a sun-trap patio.

Wheelchair and pushchair friendly

No loose stones, no uneven joins. One of the most accessible outdoor surfaces you can lay.

Low maintenance

No re-pointing, no power-washing the grout each spring, no cracked slabs to replace – and no gaps for weeds to push through.

Laid properly, built to last

The groundworks under your patio matter more than the surface on top. Resin is only a couple of millimetres thick; everything that makes it last is in the prep. We do all of it ourselves, from the dig to the drainage, with our own team and our own kit. Steps, edging, retaining work, whatever the space needs, it is all handled by the same crew.

If you already have a driveway in place and you are adding a patio or path to tie in with it, we will match the materials so the finished project feels properly joined-up. If we are doing the whole lot at once, even better. One team, one site visit, one delivery run, and it tends to come out cheaper than commissioning each bit separately.

Every patio and pathway we lay comes with a three-year guarantee on workmanship and materials. In practice a well-laid resin patio should give you many years beyond that. It is the kind of work you stop thinking about because it just keeps doing its job.
